Grand Départ Germany e.V. and European Peace Ride Launch Cooperation

Grand Départ Germany e. V. and the European Peace Ride will cooperate in the future. The collaboration will be visible at this year's European Peace Ride: the official jersey will feature the Grand Départ Germany logo on the sleeve.

With the cooperation, the European Peace Ride supports Germany's bid for the Grand Départ of the Tour de France in 2029. The main focus is on visibility, regional networking, and engaging further supporters.

For Grand Départ Germany, the cooperation is another step towards broadening the bid's base in Central Germany. The European Peace Ride brings a strong regional network and a clear connection to the region's cycling history for this purpose.

The European Peace Ride builds on the tradition of the Peace Race and translates it into a modern format. The event combines cycling with European history, encounters, and cross-border exchange.

This year, the cooperation will be visible for the first time: Drivers of the European Peace Ride will wear the GDA logo on their jersey sleeves. Grand Départ Allemagne will provide communicative support for the collaboration and further contextualize the connection between the European Peace Ride, the Peace Race tradition, and the bid for the Tour de France start in 2029.
