French Ambassador Fran\u00e7ois Delattre expressly praised this commitment and emphasized the importance of such initiatives for a lived German-French friendship.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cype-module cype-module--quote\">\n<blockquote class=\"cype-quote cype-quote--bar cype-quote--marker-icon\"><p><span class=\"cype-quote__icon\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><span class=\"cype-quote__glyph\">\u00bb<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"cype-quote__body\">\n<p>Europe needs a strong foundation, especially in times of geopolitical upheaval.<\/p>\n<p><cite>Katja Meier<\/cite><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cype-module cype-module--text\">\n<div class=\"cype-text\">\n<p>This moment is also special for us because Katja Meier early on supported and politically accompanied the idea of a Grand D\u00e9part in Central Germany. Together with our board, Dr. Thomas Hofmann and Andreas Prokop, we were able to follow the award ceremony on site.<\/p>\n<p>In her own words, it becomes clear what her core concern is: \"Europe needs a strong foundation, especially in times of geopolitical upheaval. Cooperation between Germany, France, and Poland is not about symbolism, but about future viability. Sport can create exactly this closeness \u2013 visible, tangible, and unifying.
